Our Fire & Water Package offers a great introduction to Costa Rica. Starting in La Fortuna, home to mighty Arenal Volcano, you begin your adventure vacation. Arenal Volcano is listed as one of the top 20 most active volcanoes in the world, and the most active in all of Central America. From Arenal we head South to Manuel Antonio where the Rain Forest meets the sea. This is a great trip for a family or couple.
Day 1 – Arrival
- Private Transfer to Arenal – (approx. 3 hours) – Upon arrival your private driver will be waiting outside the airport to take you to your first destination.

Whitewater Rafting Toro River - The Río Toro explodes with a series of over 45 continuous class 3-4 rapids – you'll spend more than 2½ hours rafting through unexplored, tropical wilderness on a personalized, small-group tour. The exciting Río Toro is located only 1 hour from La Fortuna.
Experienced and first-time rafters love the Río Toro for full-day, class 3-4 rafting.The Río Toro offers over 45-continuous rapids along more than 16 kilometers of deep-canyon gorges and waterfalls where we often see sloths, monkeys and tropical birds, such as toucans and the Montezuma Oropendula. We operate small, personalized and private tours and we are the only company who runs the Río Toro! Imagine rafting through exciting, action-packed rapids with names like “morning coffee,” "the Danish Taco," “coco loco,” “the eraser,” and the famous “B-F-W!” This thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime adventure leaves at 8:30am from our office in La Fortuna. The Río Toro is the closest class 3-4 river to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano – only 1 hour away!
Day 3 – Arenal – (B,D)

Morning Sky Tram / SkyTrek - Sky Trek starts with a tour in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve, then begins a tour of adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops, which consists on a system of zip lines, that allows you to observe the rainforest and its landscape from a different perspective, safely in an innovative and different system.The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a panoramic view of the Arenal volcano and lake.
- Liquid Lava Hike with Eco Termales and dinner -– To start the famous Liquid Lava tour, your naturalist guide will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to the El Silencio private reserve, right at the edge of the Arenal Volcano National Park.Along this informative, beautiful walk, you’ll learn about the behemoth Arenal Volcano, the secondary and primary tropical forest surrounding it and the interesting wildlife of the area. Once we finish the walk, we’ll head to the active side to see if we can spot some of the bright red, molten rock falling from the volcano. And it's here you can partake in sharing some Liquid Lava (a mix of local "fire water" and natural drink.) We always say:
"If you can't see the lava, at least you'll be able to feel it..."
You will finish off the evening at the Costa Rican Family owned Eco Termales Hot Springs. Relax and unwind after your first 2 days of adventure with the thermal pools heated from the volcano. A delicious dnner finishes off this perfect day
Day 4 – Arenal – Manuel Antonio – (B)

The trip to Manuel Antonio is a long one, but a scenic one. This is a great way to traverse Costa Rica. On this roadtrip you will go through several micro climates as you travel towards the beginning of the Southern Rainforest regions.

Manuel Antonio Park Guided Tour – Your guide will take you through the world renowned Manuel Antonio Park. This informative hike will teach you about the complexity of the rain forest while pointing out many species of birds, mammals, reptiles, flora & fauna. Enjoy the 3 pristine white sand beaches within Manuel Antonio Park and marvel at the rainforest that surrounds you. Beware, Capuchin Monkeys can be thieves J

Coastal Kayaking w/snorkeling - Come experience one of Costa Rica’s most striking coastlines and National Park – by open-seat ocean kayak. Whether you are an individual, group, or an adventurous family, this challenging yet gratifying ocean kayaking adventure is for you. The adventure begins near the developing Pez Vela (Sail Fish) Marina in Quepos and winds along the Manuel Antonio coastline. Indulge yourselves at a rare jewel of a beach – a hidden Manuel Antonio treasure at Biezans Bay – for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks. And feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private white sand beach.
