The information can be overwhelming when researching Surf Camps in Costa Rica. There are many great companies out there and so many beautiful destinations to choose from. In addition to destination, some other things to factor in your decision are the level of accommodations, quality of the instruction and how inclusive you want your vacation to be. Also, what is the format of the camp and how many other guests will be there likely be while you are there?
One great thing about Playa Jaco, Costa Rica and the surrounding area is that there is almost always somewhere you can catch waves year round. It is also a good choice because beginners can surf in Jaco, while the more advanced and adventurous can tangle with the often heavy surf of Playa Hermosa, just to the south of Jaco. Our particular surf camp package is hosted at Hotel Poseidon. It is a boutique hotel with a small pool, two bars and an incredible restaurant. The rooms are nice and comfortable, offering AC, cable tv, wifi and a mini bar. The groups are kept small and sometimes it will be private for you and your group. Even with small groups we make sure you have a good time by including you in local events, bbq’s and introducing you to friends in the area. We have done quite a bit of honeymoons, bachelor parties, girls trips as well as family vacations. In addition to surfing, our premium package offers yoga, massage, transportation and more. As we are heading into green season, we have special prices for the next several months. And if you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask us and we will do our best to create a personal package just for you.

It has been our pleasure to host Third World’s surf packages over the past 10 years. We look forward to many more years together.
Indeed the availability of surf camps in Costa Rica varies, as to location, price, programs, and some of the best are in the Jaco area!
